Purification:

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phospholation site.

Specificity/Sensitivity:

PGK1（Phospho-Ser256)antibody detects endogenous levels of PGK1 only when phospholated at Serine256 .

Applications:

Background:

EGFR and ERK-activated casein kinase 2a(CK2a) phosphorylates nuclear phosphoglycerate kinase (PGK) 1 at S256, resulting in interaction of PGK1 with CDC7, promoting the recruitment of DNA helicase to replication origins, DNA replication, cell proliferation, and brain tumorigenesis. The phosphorylation levels of PGK1 S256 were positively correlated with each other in glioma specimens [1] .
